'British policy in the Middle East' - A talk by Rosemary Hollis

About the Speaker:

Rosemary Hollis is Professor of Middle East Policy Studies and Director of the Olive Tree Scholarship Programme at City University London.

Hollis took up the Olive Tree Directorship in March 2008 having completed three years as Director of Research at Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) in London, with overall responsibility for the research and publications output of the institute. The focus of her own research and writing is foreign policy and security issues in the Middle East, particularly European, EU, UK and US relations with the region and Transatlantic differences over the issues.

Among her academic roles Professor Hollis is a member of the Advisory Council for the ESRC 'Conflict in Cities' project, and serves on the British Academy's Area Panel for the Middle East and North Africa.

Her new book, Britain and the Middle East in the 9/11 Era, is published by Wiley-Blackwell and Chatham House.
