About the tour:
The tour will take place in the John Addis Gallery 'The Islamic World' which displays material from the 7th century AD to present. The objects displayed in the gallery were manufactured and used by peoples living in lands where the dominant religion at the time was or is Islam. Following an introduction focusing on how some of the objects relate to the Islamic faith, we will take a look at some of the highlights of the gallery, taking a geographical and chronological tour of the history and art of the Islamic lands.
